Ronnie Simon is a self-taught Gwich'in wildlife artist whose work is deeply inspired by the landscapes, wildlife, and natural beauty of Canada's North. Raised in Fort McPherson, Northwest Territories, Ronnie developed a passion for art at a young age, drawing inspiration from the land and the animals that have long been an important part of northern life.

Working primarily in acrylics, Ronnie is known for his detailed portrayals of wildlife and birds in their natural habitats. His paintings capture the beauty, serenity, and spirit of the North, reflecting both his appreciation for nature and his close connection to the environment that surrounds him.

Ronnie's artwork has been featured in numerous galleries and exhibitions, including the Bearclaw Gallery in Edmonton, Alberta, where he was a featured artist during the 2016 Holiday Art Show. His work has also been exhibited at the 50 Street Gallery in Edmonton and at both the summer and winter editions of the Great Northern Arts Festival.

His paintings can be found in a variety of public and private spaces throughout the Northwest Territories. Notably, his artwork was selected for display in the lobby and main staircase of the Capital Suites Hotel in Inuvik and has been featured at the Café Gallery in Inuvik. Among his most unique projects was a collaboration with the Government of Canada, which showcased his artwork on a 30-foot satellite dish in Inuvik.

Through his art, Ronnie Simon celebrates the wildlife, landscapes, and enduring beauty of the North, sharing the stories and spirit of his homeland with audiences across Canada.
