TJ Wallis - Author's Page

TJ Wallis is a Métis writer and citizen of Métis Nation British Columbia. She’s a retired accountant, magazine editor, and freelance writer who now spends her days surrounded by books, beadwork, and too much coffee.

Once upon a time, she ran a small goat farm and lived the rural life; these days, she lives “in town,” where the wild things are mostly ideas. She owns an online store specializing in Canadian Indigenous art and gifts and serves as a director on her local charter community board.

TJ has travelled widely, has four grown children, and imported one British husband. Her writing often finds its way back to the same quiet places she loves best, where nature, humour, and humanity overlap in the softest ways.

Her e-book  Silent as the Wild: Whispers from the Animal World - Five Tales of Quiet Reckoning is available on Amazon now.

Five lyrical fables give voice to the wild. From owl and wolf to beaver, bison, and cougar.
In Silent as the Wild, nature remembers what humanity forgets: that every silence carries a story. Haunting and deeply human, these stories are a hymn to the living earth.
