The Amazing Race Canada Recap.  My honorary cousins teamed up with my favourite sisters, and together they tackled the challenge with the calm teamwork that has made both teams so enjoyable to watch.

As a fellow Red River Métis, I have to admit it was pretty special seeing all four Indigenous racers working side by side. Representation matters, and seeing two Indigenous teams supporting each other was one of my favourite moments of the season so far.

This season of the Amazing Race Canada keeps giving me more reasons to cheer. Whether it's celebrating Indigenous representation, discovering fascinating pieces of Métis history, or watching the race wind through some of the most beautiful parts of British Columbia, The Amazing Race Canada continues to remind us just how incredible this country really is.

An Amazing Race Canada update.  I'll admit it. I spent this week's episode of The Amazing Race Canada cheering just a little louder than usual. Why? Because I'm still claiming Sacha and Sébastien Régnier as my honorary cousins. Yes, yes, I know. We haven't compared family trees. But as a fellow Red River Métis with the maiden name Régnier, I'm perfectly comfortable adopting them for the season. 

Of course, I'm also cheering for Chayla and Chyana. It's been wonderful to see two Indigenous teams representing our communities with determination, humour, and heart. If either team makes it all the way to the finish line, I'll be celebrating.

Rio de Janeiro wasted no time introducing itself. It was vibrant, noisy, colourful, and occasionally soaking wet. But never boring. Here’s how we spent four memorable days in this extraordinary city.

Traveling Brazil from north to south gave me a deep appreciation for just how many Brazils exist within one country,  shaped by geography, history, culture, and rhythm. Even when illness or logistics got in the way, the experience was rich, layered, and unforgettable.
